With an emphasis on improved sound, natural feel and user-friendliness,
Yamaha has unleashed the DTXPRESS III and the DTXPRESS III Special Edition electronic kits.
Currently available at the original MSRP of $1,295, the DTXPRESS III features a selection of new audio waveforms that reproduce ultra-realistic sounds, with a strong concentration on acoustic cymbal sounds.
Upgraded soft rubber pads offer drummers more performance comfort, better feel and natural rebound. Physical improvements include gray metallic support racks that will hide chips and scratches.
The kit ships in a single box with the rack fully assembled and all cables coded on both ends, so users can simply fold out the support legs and cymbal arms for a quick and easy setup.
The Special Edition model (pictures) contains all the features of the DTXPRESS III, with the addition of an ergonomic curved rack, three round multi-zone cymbal pads (3-zone, 2-zone and mono), and a hi-hat controller with the unique combination of an acoustic-type stand and electronic pad.
The kit is set to deliver in March 2004 at a target MSRP of $1,899, and ships with a single bass drum pedal and drum throne.
