Paiste Wiki (paiste-only) Wiederherstellung - Es gibt Neues

Liebe Gemeinde,

es gibt Neuigkeiten, leider keine sonderlich tollen.
Kurzum, das Projekt wurde eingestellt. Es gab ein Konkurrenzprojekt, das sich kurz nach unserem Projektstart geformt hat, und für welches unglaublich erfahrene Leute mit viel Wissen arbeiten, die teils von uns abgesprungen sind.
Unter diesen Gesichtspunkten sehen wir keinen Grund dafür, unser Projekt fortzusetzen.
Hier das ausfürliche (englische) Statement:

'Fellow Paistepedians,

It has been a calm few weeks and there is a good reason for this.
With heavy hearts we announce that we will stop the Paistepedia project at this stage.

The reason behind this decision is simple:
Shortly after starting our project a similar project began working on a Paiste Wikipedia.
Having gathered the biggest masterminds in the business when it comes to knowledge about planet Paiste, this project seems to have a depth of knowledge which we by no means could ever keep up with, regardless of how huge our passion is.
As we think it is meaningless for users to have two pages with more or less the same content, we decided to stop our project at this point. We think there should be one source for this information rather than having to check two pages and compare their contents.
We the creators of Paistepedia never intended to compete with another site and there is no need for a competition as we both have (had) the same great goal - to bring back the old Paiste-wiki and the valuable knowledge involved - and that is all that counts.

Some of you might even prefer the other project simply for its look, as it adapted the old Wiki style.
Please show the good people over there your support and respect.
What they are creating involves a vast amount of work and of course Paiste knowledge from their contributors.
The page also does not only contain Paiste, but other cymbal manufacturers as well.

We want to thank all of you fab people for your fantastic support and the work you put into this project.
We really deeply appreciate what you have done for us. Maybe you can forward the collected information / pictures to the new project.

For those of you who wanted us to fail from the first hour on and now laugh up their sleeves:
You can stop laughing now. We don't see this as a fail but rather know, that by starting our project we encouraged others to finally get going to create something even bigger.

Now let's continue celebrating this fantastic company.
