Dennis Chambers krank?

    Sorry für off-tpoic aber im Netz kursieren ja momentan allerhand Meldungen zu Dennis Chambers... ich nehme mal an, dass er (wenn die Gerüchte wahr sind) gar nicht gespielt hat? Wer war evtl. "Ersatzmann"? Wurde vielleicht was zu Chambers gesagt?

    Also gestern hat Derico Watson gespielt, anstelle für Dennis, keine Ahnung wie der so schnell einspringen konnte. Das Konzert war super, aber:


    Mike Stern hat gesagt das Dennis im Krankenhaus ist.

    Lasst mal hoffen, dass er wieder gesundet!!!

    Aus relativ verlässlichen Quellen weiß ich inzwischen, dass Dennis beim Herunterheben eines Koffers aus dem Gepäckfach eines Flugzeugs vor einigen Monaten unglücklich gefallen und besagter Koffer auf ihn gefallen ist. Innere Blutungen und ein Krankenhausaufenthalt waren die Folge. Ebenso folgte ein rapider Gewichtsverlust (sicherlich auch unfreiwillig). Er wirkte, wie bereits geschrieben, schon beim Gig in Berlin alles andere als fit. Ich nehme mal an, dass sein aktueller Krankenhausaufenthalt damit in Verbindung steht und wünsche ihm alles Gute!!!

We will do our best to update you as soon as reliable information is available.     To all of Dennis Chambers friends, fans, well wishers and alike.
    Unfortunately there is a lot of conversation about Dennis on face book and the internet. I do not and will not give out any specific information to anyone concerning Dennis's health and trust that all of you who may know more than others will do the same. It is a private matter and should be respected and treated as such. My children and family members have been very upset about the information that has been spread. Dennis is a very well know, respected, and successful musician, but he is also a very private family man. (Sometime people don't know what to do with information they may have or not think about the damage you can do with what you may have.) Consider if something were to happen to you today or tomorrow? How would want people to handle your personal information? What happened here in Spain was unfortunate, unexpected, shocking and scary but it doesn't warrant the public to be privy to the specifics of privacy. I am very big on confidentiality and I'm sure some or you feel the same about yourself and your own situations but are not treating Dennis with the respect you would expect. I respect my husband and my family. Despite the rumors about Dennis Chambers, he is very much alive and doing much better. What I have learned over the years is that friends, family, and those really concerned don't ask about specifics they just want to know how to help and begin to pray and send well wishes with no questions asked. What is it that you could do if you knew more about his health besides gossip about it? What benefit would it be for you or for him? We have had enough of accusations and people analyzing him. For those that have been truly concerned and are praying, thank you so very much and continue to pray. For those of you who have been gossiping, posting, texting and what ever else, let it go! Don't allow yourself to be caught up in tearing him down but instead be apart of the building him up. You never know what situation you might find yourself in tomorrow so don't be so quick to judge or assume. I was always taught to "Do unto others as you would HAVE them do unto you". Treat people the way you would want to be treated. Gossip kills, while prayer heals. Where are you in the process. What I see in all of this is that there are a lot of people praying now who were not praying before for any reason. To God be the Glory for the things he has done. He has also brought people together from around the globe to pray with out ceasing while expecting change, good health, healing, wholeness and a sound mind as a result. God will use anyone and any situation to bring prayer back into our lives. What the enemy wants to use as evil, God will turn it around for his good! And so I say to you, stop the negative emailing, texting, posting, and gossiping and start praying and reaching out to one another and give support. Touch and agree on those things you are praying for. If you want things to change you might have to change the way you do things. We all love Dennis and want nothing but the best for him. Thank you all for loving and caring enough about him to cover him in prayer. We also send out prayers to all of you and your families. Be blessed. Renee

    Das Statement von Frau Chambers ist imho hier im DF
    für die Posts nicht zutreffend. Ich kann Sorge um DC
    erkennen, aber nichts Bösartiges oder Negatives.
    DC ist in Trommlerkreisen eine Person von besonderem
    Interesse. So lange hier respektvoll gepostet wird,
    ist das nicht verwerflich.

    nontoxic: kurze lange CD-Pause

    Jemand, mit dem ich auf dem Mike Stern Gig in Berlin war, kennt den Leiter eines Jazz-Instituts, der wiederum Kontakt zu Dennis Chambers oder seinen Mitmusikern hat. Reicht das? Wenn nicht, kann es dir auch egal sein. Mein Anliegen ist es nicht, jemandem Schaden zuzufügen, sondern Licht ins Dunkel zu bringen und Spekulationen keine Nahrung zu bieten. Ich möchte einfach wissen, was los ist und sende meine besten Genesungswünsche an jemanden, der mir was bedeutet und dem es zur Zeit schlecht geht. Wer darin etwas Böses sehen will, mit dem lohnt es sich für mich nicht, zu diskutieren. Ich verstehe nicht, warum das alles so negativ bewertet wird. Auch habe ich keinerlei Negatives im Netz über "DC" gelesen und kann die Anspielungen seiner Frau nicht nachvollziehen. Natürlich gilt es, ihre Wünsche und die seiner Familie zu respektieren. Mit Gott habe ich nicht viel am Hut, daher bete ich nicht. Jeder, wie er/sie mag.


    Für mich ist das Thema an dieser Stelle beendet. Ich werde hier in Zukunft nichts derartiges mehr Teilen. Soll doch jeder wild herum spekulieren...

    Die Reaktion seiner Frau halte ich für absolut übertrieben. Wie schon erwähnt, sehe ich im Interesse an DC's Gesundheit keine Sensationsgier, sondern ernsthafte Sorge, von wenigen Ausnahmen wie immer abgesehen. Dazu klingt es so, als würde sich das halbe Internet in Spekulationen über ihn zerreissen, dabei muss man doch schon recht gezielt suchen (die wirklich schon spezifische Suche nach "dennis chambers sick ill" gibt gerade mal drei google-Treffer). Das ganze bewegt sich also doch in Insider- bzw. Kennerkreisen.


    Und sie spricht von "accusations and people analyzing him", beschuldigt aber direkt pauschal alle Leute einer schlechten Absicht, die sich nach seinem Zustand erkundigen. Und Leute, die sich wirklich um ihn kümmern, sollen nicht nach seinem Zustand fragen (sondern Hilfe anbieten und beten)? Und dann noch "Gossip kills, while prayer heals", was jetzt aber für mich ein grundsätzlicher K.O.-Schlag war.


    Dann lasst uns doch mal auf facebook ein schönes Bild machen mit "1 like = 1 prayer", dürfte womöglich für Zufriedenheit bei ihr sorgen.

    ich finde, dass Angehörige, die ohnehin nachvollziehbar derzeit etwas im Stress stehen, nicht
    auch noch Gegenstand der Diskussion sein müssen.


    Ich halte es auch schon für die Person, um die es geht, für übertrieben, dass man spekuliert
    bzw. berichtet. Offensichtlich ist er krank und wird im Krankenhaus behandelt. Mir reicht das
    an Informationen, meine eigenen Spekulationen zu seinem Zustand und Erscheinungsbild erzähle
    ich in der Öffentlichkeit (= Internet) nicht, denn ich möchte auch nicht, dass man über mich
    irgendwann einmal diskutiert, ob mir ein Koffer auf den Kopf gefallen ist oder ob meine Leber
    noch trommelt. Das gehört in die Krankenakte und die hat hier nichts zu suchen, wenn der
    Betroffene das selbst nicht will.


    Ob ich nun bete, religiös bin oder nicht, behalte ich auch mal für mich. Ich denke, doch,
    dass es nebenbei sowieso niemanden interessiert.

    Ich hätte ihn auch nicht erkannt.
    Schrecklich, wie eine schwere Krankheit jemanden verändern kann.
    Zumindest scheint er seinen Humor und seinen Lebenswillen nicht verloren zu haben.
    Ich hoffe das Beste für ihn.
