hab grad ein Interview gefunden, wo Doug Clifford über:
- das Schlagzeugspiel allgemein und Technik und Grooves
- stories drum herum
- und seine KONFIGURATION AB 1969 spricht:

"I endorse Paiste Cymbals. When I switched to Camco drums in 1969, I
also switched to the Paiste Formula 602’s. Back then I had one crash and a
ride cymbal, and 18” hi hats. I still use 18” hi hats. The smaller sizes just didn’t
cut through the amplification back then.
My drumsticks of choice are made by Vic Firth, the Doug Clifford signature
model, size 2B with plastic tips. I am using Evans heads. Evans has really
come a long way."
und jokingly: "My setup has always been a 4 piece drum set with a ride cymbal, crash cymbal, and hi hats. That’s what I used throughout the whole Creedence experience. Now I’ve gotten really fancy. I’ve added a mid tom and another crash cymbal."
Gut für damals vllt. normal die 18" HH, wegen der Sache mit den Verstärkern - aber heute noch? Dann is auch klar, warum man 2B-Sticks brauch.
Im Interviewtext sind überall hir und da auch Infos über andere Drums und Drummer eingeflochten, außerdem sieht man Fotos von Drumsets 
(u.a. diese Toms, die unten so wie ein Schuh umgebogen sind, sowas hässliches spielt man doch nur zu Werbezwecken...
(eventuell fetige ich noch ein Inhaltsverzeichnis mit Links an, damit man schneller findet, was einen interessiert, weil zwischendruch auch einfach über Sachen geredet wird, die die meisten hier nicht interessieren werden.

PS: Bill Bruford spielt ein 14er HiHat-Top auf einem 18er Crash (beides 2002er Serie). Uninteressant aber vllt will ja jemand mal seine Effektcymbal-Sammlung dadurch erweitern
